Education

De Meulder obtained the first prize in chamber music and the 'Higher diploma for voice' from Liane Jespers at the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory in Antwerp . She obtained her master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels . She specializes in sound-oriented singing with Lut Lemmens and Ingrid Voermans of the “Lichtenberger Institut fur Gesang und Instrumentalspiel” in Germany .

Singing career

De Meulder gives singing lessons at the 'Academy for Music and Word' in Hemiksem ( Antwerp ). As a soloist , she is regularly asked for various projects from early to contemporary music at home and abroad. She has been heard at concerts in South Africa , at the “Bamboo Organ Festival” in Las Pinas ( Philippines ), at concerts with 'Voces Aequales' and Jan Van Mol in Brazil , concerts at the 'Lithuanian Festival Sugrizimai', tour in Japan , ...

De Meulder was involved in various CD and TV recordings, including the 'Currende Consort' conducted by Erik Van Nevel.

Her repertoire includes cantatas , chamber music , oratorios , orchestral masses, passions and the classical religious repertoire for all occasions. Contemporary music is also not unknown to her. She co-created the opera Aquarius by Karel Goeyvaerts , Treurlied om Kayano by Gwendolyn Sommereyns.

De Meulder often collaborates with organist Jan Van Mol, with which she also recorded several CDs. Together they founded the 'vzw Calcant' in 1998. In addition to the organ projects, there is a large vocal input, culminating in the integral performance of the Weihnachtsoratorium by JS Bach .

Furthermore, De Meulder is the artistic director of the Artists Fund, which works in the Sint-Carolus Borromeuskerk in Antwerp . Here, for 60 years, a varied program has been held every Sunday in the "Artists Mass". De Meulder is also a musical advisor for the Feugere organ concerts in St. Martin's Church in Kontich.

De Meulder is part of the soloist ensemble 'I Solisti del Cuore', which also consists of Govaart Hache, tenor , Koen Meynckens, bass and the mezzo-sopranos Ann Callens-Janssens and Lieve Mertens. ."
