Maria Keohane (born on May 13 , 1971 in Manchester ) is a soprano , Swedish opera singer .
Biography and activities
Born in 1971 in Manchester , she grew up in Sweden. She is a student at the University of Gothenburg and at the Royal Academy in Copenhagen. His soprano voice allows him to interpret a wide range of musical styles from early and baroque music to contemporary music. It is expressed through the oratorio ( Bach , Handel , Mozart ). Specializing in early music , she takes part in the Pure Handel CD project in collaboration with the Baroque Orchestra of the European Union .
It is found in the opera, especially in works by Mozart and Monteverdi. In 2016, she performed in Purcell's The Fairy Queen at the Royal Danish Theater in Copenhagen .
In 2017 she participated in interpretations of the London Philharmonic Orchestra , the Ricercar Consort , the European Union Baroque Orchestra , The Netherland Bach Society and the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble.
