Matthias Winckhler (born March 12, 1990 in Munich ) is a German opera song and concert singer of the voice baritone .
Life
Matthias Winckhler received his first singing lessons with Hartmut Elbert and then studied at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Andreas Macco, as well as Lied and Oratorio with Wolfgang Holzmair . He received further musical impulses from Rudolf Piernay , Peter Schreier , Matthias Goerne , Markus Hinterhauser , Graham Johnson and Manfred Trojahn .
During his studies, Winckhler, directed by Eike Gramss and the musical direction of Josef Wallnig, embodied the Belcore in L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti as well as the Mozart roles Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte , the count in Le nozze di Figaro and the title role in Don Giovanni . Since the season 2015/2016 Winckhler is a member of the ensemble of the Niedersachsische Staatsoper Hannover .
As a concert singer Winckhler acts mainly in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland. He worked with the conductors Helmuth Rilling , Reinhard Goebel , Hans Graf , Jordi Savall , Masaaki Suzuki , Gianandrea Noseda , Jos van Veldhoven , and Gunter Jena , as well as with the Camerata Salzburg , the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg , the Vienna Philharmonic , the Philharmonic Hamburg , Brandenburger Symphoniker , the Bach Collegium Japan , the Nederlandse Bachvereniging and the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra. In June 2014 he made his debut with a Liedermatinee at Bachfest in Leipzig. In July 2015 he made his debut at the Salzburg Festival , as well as the Kissinger summer .
