Roberto Giordano ( Tropea , 6 May 1981 ) is an Italian pianist .

Biography

He began piano studies with Angela Masneri. In 1999 he graduated at the Rossini Conservatory of Pesaro with full marks, honors and special mention and at the same time received the diploma of "Execution" at the Ecole Normale De Musique "A. Cortot" of Paris , with "unanimite et felicitations" "of the jury. He continued his studies with Leonid Margarius and Piero Rattalino at the Piano Academy of Imola , where he graduated with a Master's degree in January 2007 . It was particularly appreciated by Vladimir A?kenazi , in his complete execution of Fryderyk Chopin's studies.

In 2003 he was awarded at the Concours Musical International Reine Elisabeth de Belgique , in Brussels . Following this worldwide recognition, the director Gerard Corbiau creates a special biography of Giordano, which will be broadcast by the world's major broadcasters: Roberto Giordano, d'un monde a l'autre .

He is a regular guest of the major international halls and institutions, including the La Scala Theater , Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, the Hermitage Theater in St. Petersburg , Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama , Konzerthaus in Berlin , Mozarteum in Salzburg , Philharmonia in Wroc?aw in Poland, Roman Philharmonic Academy , Stresa Music Weeks, Milan Music Afternoons, Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall. He also plays an intense concert activity in the Benelux countries , in Italy , in the USA and Japan, both as a soloist and with internationally renowned orchestras.

He has collaborated with RTBF Belgian radio and television, as a guest of cultural and musical programs.

His performances have been recorded and broadcast by RTBF and VRT, Belgian Radio, RAI, Radiouno, Radiotre and Radio Vaticana, Classical Japan, Classical Radio, SKY Classica.

He plays regularly with the baritone Jose van Dam .
His discography includes three CDs published by Cypres and La Bottega Discantica .
The director Gerard Corbiau has dedicated a documentary entitled Roberto Giordano, d'un monde a l'autre .
