オーボエ奏者:ヘンリック・ゴルトシュミット Henrik Goldschmidt

Henrik Chaim Goldschmidt (born June 29, 1959) isanoboist in the Royal Danish Orchestra and the initiator and leader of the Middle East Peace Orchestra.

Goldschmidt started his career in the Odense Symphony Orchestra atthe age of 19. He was educated at the Funen Academy of Music with Professor Jorgen Hammergard from 1976to1979 and at the Karajan Academy in West Berlin with Professor Lothar Koch. From 1981to1983 he played with the Berlin Philharmonic and from 1991to1993 in the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg. He has also represented Denmark in The World Symphony Orchestra. Since 1986 he has been employed in the Royal Danish Orchestra as a solo soloist.

In 1987 he co-founded The Danish Fan Octet, with which he won the first prize in DR's chamber music competition in 1991 and received a "Grammy" for "Classic Release of the Year" in 1993.

Goldschmidt's album "Phantasy - Music for Oboe",released in 1996 on the label EMI, was number one on the classic chart for six weeks.

In 2003, Henrik Goldschmidt founded The Middle East Peace Orchestra, a musical collaborative project between potential mortal enemies. The orchestra plays traditional Jewish, Arabic and Christian music and tours all over the world. The orchestra has played in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Bodo, Paris, New York, Jerusalem, Hanoi and many other metropolises, but places even greater emphasis on gathering children and creating the possibility of a meeting that otherwise does not take place.

In 2011 Henrik Goldschmidt founded Goldschmidts Akademi, a free music school for children in Norrebro in Copenhagen.

Goldschmidt composes music for his band,for theatrical performances and for films. He plays symphonic children's concertos with all the country's symphony orchestras together with his musical partner, Accordionvirtuoso Anders Singh Vesterdahl.

Goldschmidt has received Jacob Gade's scholarship, the Danish Musicians' Association's honorary award, Emil Holm's scholarship, etc.
