ヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバ奏者: スージー・ナッパー Susie Napper

Susie Napper is a Montreal-based gambist and cellist , of British origin, specializing in Baroque repertoire, active in Canada and internationally.


Biography

Susie Napper studied at the Guildhall School of Music in London , the Juilliard School of Music in New York and the Paris Conservatoire.

In the 1980s, she played in the orchestra of Les Arts Florissants, conducted by William Christie .

In 1985, with Margaret Little , she created Les Voix Humaines , a duet of Montreal viola da gamba .

She was co-founder and director of the San Francisco Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and is principal cellist of the "Studio de Musique Ancienne" in Montreal . She teaches at McGill University in Montreal and in 2001 founded the "Montreal Baroque International Festival".

Susie Napper plays a bass Barak Norman viol made in London in 1703 and was the possession of the Italian composer Arcangelo Corelli .
