セルジョ・ザンペッティ Sergio Zampetti ( Milan , 1971 - Saronno , 16 October 2014 ) was an Italian flutist .

Biography

After obtaining the academic title in flute at the " Giuseppe Verdi " Conservatory of Como he perfected himself with Mauro Scappini , Andrea Griminelli and Alain Marion . During the years of the Conservatory he also deepened Composition and Choral Music and choir direction (graduating in the latter).

He played the role of First Flute in some Orchestras until 2002: from that year he devoted himself exclusively to solo and didactic activity. He performed in numerous Italian cultural frames, such as the Mozartfest, the Friends of Music in Milan, the Concert Society in Milan, Musical Evenings in Milan, the Como Music Autumn, Music at Palazzo Reale in Milan and others.

He performed in major theaters and concert halls in Italy and abroad: Carnegie Hall in New York , Herman Hesse Gymnasium in Calw , Theater Monplaisir in Lyon , Theater in Strasbourg, Komaba Eminence Hall and Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo , Sala Verdi of the Milan Conservatory. He performed with the collaboration of the Mariinsky Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra Citta di Ravenna, the Musici Estensi, and the Orchestra de Nevers.

He played and recorded for Rai , for RTS , for Mediaset and for the Italian Radio in New York . Recorded CDs for Phoenix and Jecklin, including a CD for flute and piano accompanied by Aldo Ciccolini : this CD was presented as an Event by the Feltrinelli Library of Milan (unique for classical music). In 2007 for CityRecords the CD "Live" is published, linked to a project of musical divulgation. In 2008 he released a new CD for " La bottega discantica ".

In 2004 he conceived the project "Evviva la musica" which brings classical music in schools (from elementary to high school) through popular concerts. In 2007 he became Artistic Director of the musical season "I sounds from time" at the Pievi della Lunigiana .

He performed in many countries (United States, Germany, Turkey, France, Switzerland, Japan, Malaysia and many others). With his brother Claudio Zampetti, pianist and composer, he formed the Duo Zampetti , establishing himself in the musical world. Many composers wrote explicitly for the Duo ( Boccadoro , Pennesi , Vinay, Vacca).

Together with his brother Claudio, he directed the "Il Fabbro Armonioso" Music School in Saronno .
