フルート奏者: Marije Franken

Marije Franken is a Dutch flutist.

She studied with Harrie Starreveld at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In June 2014 she completed her bachelor's degree with predicate 'very good' and she won a prize in the final of the Adams International Flute Competition.

Marije recorded her orchestral experience in the Regional Youth Orchestra, with which she played her first solo concert at the age of 15. She has also performed in the European Jugend Orchester Darmstadt, the Dutch Student Chamber Orchestra, the Ricciotti Ensemble, the VU-Orkest and the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She also had solo performances at, among others, Summer Course Woudschoten. Currently Marije plays in chamber orchestra De KlankKast and she performs with various chamber music ensembles.

Besides this performing side of music Marije likes to experiment with the limits of the reach of classical music and she studies the teaching and production branch of the music and culture industry. She has worked at the 'Leerorkest' foundation, she is a flute teacher at the Amsterdam music school 'Music for Life' and she was a member of the board and the program committee of the VU-Orkest. At the moment Marije is part of the board of orchestra De KlankKast.
