The Ensemble vocal de Lausanne is a choir created in 1961 by Michel Corboz in Lausanne .

Presentation

Founded in 1961 by Michel Corboz , it has been artistically directed by Daniel Reuss since 2015.
It is a variable-geometry ensemble made up of a core of young professionals to whom can be added high-level choristers. Thus the choir can approach a very broad repertoire from the beginning of the Baroque ( Monteverdi , Carissimi ) to the 20th century ( Poulenc , Honegger ) .

The ensemble's discography includes around fifty records published by Erato , Cascavelle, Aria Music, Mirare. Several of these discs have obtained distinctions, including the Choc du Monde de la Musique in 1999 for Mozart's Requiem , the Choc de l'annee 2007 du Monde de la Musique for Faure's Requiem and the Choc de Classica 2011 for the Requiem by Gounod . The discography contains works by Monteverdi, Vivaldi , Bach , Marc-Antoine Charpentier , Mozart , Rossini , Mendelssohn , Brahms ,Gounod , Mahler , Poulenc, Honegger. He also gives concerts by composers such as Stravinsky or Beethoven .

The ensemble has been invited to many countries (South Africa, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Germany, Poland, Japan, Netherlands, Israel, France, Italy, Argentina, Greece, Tunisia, Portugal, England), it participates at numerous festivals: Rheingau , La Chaise-Dieu , Noirlac , Lessay , Strasbourg , at the Folle Journee in Nantes and its sister festivals in Lisbon , Bilbao and Tokyo .

The ensemble is regularly invited by the Swiss ( Orchestre de la Suisse romande ) and French ( Ensemble Orchestral de Paris , Nouvel Orchester philharmonique de Radio France ) orchestras . It also has its own orchestra, the Lausanne instrumental ensemble .
