オランダ放送合唱団 Netherlands Radio Choir

The Groot Omroepkoor is a professional choir from the Netherlands .

In August 2013, the choir had 60 singers. The choir is led by choirmaster Klaas Stok and is part of the Stichting Omroep Muziek (Stichting Omroep Muziek).

The versatility of the choir can be heard in a wide repertoire, in works for large choir as well as in works for smaller ensembles and in a cappella works and in productions with orchestra . The Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra 's main partner is the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra . In addition , the Groot Omroepkoor has been working for years with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra .

Almost all concerts take place within two series of the Public Broadcasting, the AVROTROS Friday concerts in Utrecht Tivoli Vredenburg Utrecht and the Saturday Matinee in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam . These concerts can be heard live on Radio 4 and are regularly broadcast on TV Nederland 2 .

The choir has collaborated on many CDs, including Gustav Mahler's “Das complainde Lied” (2007) with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jaap van Zweden , and " Lohengrin " (2008), " Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg " (2009) and " Parsifal " (2010, published around May 2011) by Richard Wagner , also with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jaap van Zweden, symphonies 2, 3 and 8 by Mahler with the Concertgebouw Orchestra, as well as Mozart's Requiem and Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem.

The Groot Omroepkoor considers it its task to play a role in training a new generation of choir conductors and ensemble singers. Partly on the initiative of the choir, the “ Eric Ericson Masterclass” for young choir conductors was established in 2001 .
